This
is a real nice lick that uses another T-Bone trick of using the 9th (the
second last note- A). The bending licks that T-Bone did like this were also
very influential. Notice the long flow of the line, which is another T-Bone
trademark. Watch out for the last two notes in the first bar, make sure
you roll your third finger to get the note on the fourth string, don't lift
it up.
Key: C
This
is just a great lick. It uses the min 3rd- Maj 3rd trick as well as some
real nice bends and has a real flow to it. Make sure that you use your third
finger for the bends, even though you would normally use your fourth finger
for those notes in the scale. Never bend with your fourth finger and always
try to use more than one finger to support the bend.
Key: G
This
is more T-Bone classic stuff. See how often he can play the min 3rd- Maj
3rd trick and make it sound different and cool every time. Try to do this
yourself. Take a lick that you like and try to adapt it to fit any style
and try to change it so it become a bit more personal to you. That is how
the guitar develops, and how you will too!
