Let me start by thanking you for being interested in helping translate the site. It will really make a big difference to the (majority) of the world that does not speak english, and make it easier for those that understand just a little!

Have a look at the three main areas of translation help and see which you can do to help - they are all inportant!

Thanks again for your interest and help - this will really help me teach the world to play ;)

Justin

The Main Site (will require php skills and php/html editing software)

Web page translations are on hold because we are re-making the whole framework of the site and people will be able to add the translations in very easily when it's all done... so stay tuned :))

Video Dictation / Translation (will require Microsoft Word)

Another very helpful part will be to write down what I say in the videos in your language. These MAY become subtitled videos later on, but we have not got all that sorted out yet! For now it will be a pdf file downloaded and will be found under the video itself.

It is important that you follow the template and guidelines exactly. Try and be as accurate as posible and keep the fun flavour of the spoken word, not a serious book :)

How to do it:
1. Email translate[at]justinguitar.com and find out what needs doing (to save doing something we can't use!)
2. We'll send you an English translation of a video and then you simply add your translated text onto the areas as shown! You will add your text under the English text - so that the English can be read as well as your language... done paragraph by paragraph.
3. Email your finished copy back to us - and save the file with the lesson code followed by your language name - for example: TE-000-XX.doc
4. It will be then emailed to someone else to be checked.
5. Once checked it will be put up on the site as a free download for all your fellow country people!!

Video translators need to contact translate[at]justinguitar.com.

Proof Reading (corrections)

After someone has submitted a translation, they will need to be checked! This needs someone with a keen eye to check the spelling and that the translation is right :)

Email me and we will send you things to check - just email them back!! :) easy... kinda.. will need the php editing skill to make the corrections though!

I have one of my old students, a guy called Brendan, that is helping with the video translations. It does take some time to get back to you, but we'll get there!!

THANK YOU, J.
