hey, i know the lesson said for you to try and figure where to palm mute yourself, but i really can't seem to get it right - it just doesn't seem to sound right, no matter how hard i try. i've sat here for a good 2 hours now; and i'm still stumped. anyone got any tips or advice? would be much appreciated Smiley

The sound of a PM (palm mute) depends on the guitar, amount of distortion etc. Make sure you keep the edge of your palm right above the bridge. It's not so hard, really...

"This topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days", so I'm guessing "tyler" has already master the PM's. However I posted this reply so the begginer's can find a resolution to this... I just hate it when questions remained unanswered  Grin

Justin mentions he has lessons on palm muting in the vid.  You can search "Justin Sandercoe palm muting" on YouTube.  I haven't found his lesson on "accent packages" though.

Hi,

I notice on this song on the video, he seems to play some odd chords - as far as I can make out... there's some sort of "D-shape bar chord..." business going on...

What's all that about?

Thanks,

Mike
