When are you planning on releasing that album? The piece you played in Nashville tuning sounded amazing I would love to hear more stuff like that.

I would also like to know when your CD is coming out.
I also hope the song you played becomes a lesson. I will even donate. (:

Hey Justin,
Thanks for all the Reviews on your Maton Guitars (unfortunately - they have given me a taste for guitars that my wallet cant live up to  Cheesy ).
Have only been learning the Guitar for about 6-8 months now & your lessons have been absolutely invaluable. Is there any possibility of making your DVD courses available Via Itunes?? Would happily buy the lot of them.

Just today I RCVD my first ever Maton Guitar. I picked up a 1 month old Mini Maton Via E-Bay (not a mark on it, not sure why the guy was selling it & don't really care ) It is a great little guitar & sounds Awesome plugged or unplugged. Plus its a great size for my kids to play. I was really struggling to find a 3/4 guitar that didn't sound like Crap & they were getting disheartened because as I was trying to teach them chords their little guitar just didn't sound like my full size acoustic & they would give up. Today they played & had smiles on their faces. (to anyone out there considering one of these guitars - don't let my comments make you think that these are "Kids Guitars" I actually prefer the sound of this Mini Maton to my full size guitar.)

Any way keep up the good work & again - thanks for all the time you put into the site & helping us out. It's a Bonza Beauty  Grin

Hey, I was thinking of getting a Mini Maton because it looks easy to carry about. Just wanted to know if it's and good for finger picking, or if that's difficult due to the size of the guitar?

Thanks

Tobaiy I luuuuurve my MM - I have the Diesel Special with the AA Spruce top - but now I'm just bragging Smiley

To answer your question I find it easier to play fingerstyle on the MM than my other guitars - the smaller scale size (it has only 19 frets) makes chords easier to form and notes easier to sound. When I get frustrated trying to get a piece right on my dreadnought size Messiah I pull out the MM and it restores my confidence. The only thing that took me a little while to get the hang of is the headstock is really tight for space at the nut so playing something like an E Major chord you feel your thumb and index finger up against the headstock - no big deal - I just found it a bit odd at first.

As much as I love my MM - you might also want to consider the Maton EBG808 (I have the TE model) it is more a concert size and apart from the AP5 Mic system (which sounds absolutely awesome plugged) it is THE most comfortable shaped/sized guitar I've ever played on my knee and unplugged it has a little more oomph than the MM.

Mrs Bootstrap always rather unkindly reckons that when I play the MM it looks like a "pimple on a pumpkin".

As for portability - if that is the major criterion then the MM is the way to go but the the 808 is also significantly smaller than a dreadnought.

To sum up - if portability is the most improtant thing then the MM is the way to go. If comfort, playability and sound have currency then consider the 808 (don't get me wrong though the MM more than holds its own in these things) - or buy both Cheesy

For the best price and great customer service google Hans Music Spot in Croydon Victoria AU - send Peter Mayer an email asking for his best price. NB I have no financial interest in this business - I'm just an extremely satisfied customer. NB no 2 - Just because he might not advertise something on the the website doesn't mean he cant get it - the shop actually isn't very far from the Maton factory and Peter goes down personally to select the best available from the factory stock.

You wont regret it.

Cheers, Bootstrap

Hi  I mainly play electric (metallica fan) but i am finding it difficult doing the Justin training  with a KH202 and also want to diversify my playing as it gets a bit much just playing heavy metal and the like, I actually have quite a varied taste in music anyway. I was wondering if the Mini Maton would be good enough to use as my only acoustic guitar Id like a full size version but haven't got that kind of money (well at least that's what the Mrs says) or whether to buy a cheaper full size. ( I hope this makes sense)
Thanks for any help and THANKYOU Justin I was finding it really hard to learn until I found your site even with private teachers, keep up the good work and good luck with the album.
