2 little things:

1.
What's wrong with mechanical metronomes?
My Grandmother gave me one, and i personally actually like it.
The sound of it is less annoying than the sound of some electric ones,
and they are as simple as it can get, there is no way someone can do something wrong,
just slide the weight to the desired speed and let it tick away. Cheesy
I think there are also some out there that make a special noise every 4th beat or so,
but i'm not sure.
And they look nice. Cheesy
Almost forgot that: No batteries required.

2.
It would have been nice if you maybe would have shown free alternatives,
like the Minituner, or one of the various online-metronomes.

Those are the 2 things that just came to mind,
but i really liked the new lessons till now, great work! Smiley

Does anybody know what kind of Peterson tuner Justin has and/or how much one of them costs? Thanks.

Should be this one:

270 € = 383 US$ / 478 AU$

@ Xaromir

1. Mechanical metronomes only go up in set increments, you can't usually go up just one beat at a time if you want.

2. People can find the free ones if they want, I will have one this site soon!

@ bosoxfan713

I actually have two. A Strobostomp II on my pedalboard and a big virtual strobe (that was linked below) that I use for acoustics.

Hi Justin,

The new course is fantastic. I am the type of person who needs the info to be disseminated in a step by step manner. Also, I need to know when I can move on to the next stage. Your new method is perfect.

One item I noticed that was missing from your recommended list of beginner accessories was a guitar stand. This allows the student to keep their guitar available for playing - and does so safely rather than laying it down on a bed or couch.

I'll even go a step further and recommend my favorite stands:

Hercules Stands GS402B Mini Electric Guitar Stand

Hercules Stands GS401B Mini Acoustic Guitar Stand

I hope this is helpful to beginners out there.

Good point - a stand is a good thing - will add it to the list - the beginners products section needs an update too!

Another vote for the Hercules stands...I have two floorstanding ones and they are perfect.
