Great stuff! Is the systematic term for the tuning something like D6 or something like that? Correction, something more like D6sus4.

Oh my god! I've been waiting for this so much as I've been too lazy to transcribe it myself. Too bad there's so much stuff I'm doing right now, but I will learn it in the future definitely !

The tuning is called "Double Drop D".
This was the hardest TAB I have had to write out I think... and Dario didn't like putting it into Sibelius either!!

J, I was asking for the 'systematic' name for the tuning. Just like standard is some kind of A chord with an E in the bass.

Holy Crap! This TAB is SIXTEEN pages. I'll be old and decrepit before I learn this. Peter

Is the demo version on Justin's MySpace the same as the one on the album? If not I'll have to wait 'till the 28th so I can purchase it off iTunes. If it is the same, I'm good to go.
I'm at part C/page 3 (not 99 lol)/18,75%/bar 18. It's really fun to play even though I can only play just that little bit. Justin, you're a genius.

@ Cue Zephyr - it's pretty much the same, but not quite - but close enough to learn from - the bit after the solo is a little different is all.
Systematic name - I guess you could call it a D6sus4.
@ PJMCM - yeah - but it's lots of repeats!

Alright, I'll manage, I hope! I want to have it down even before the video comes out, haha. So I was correct about the systematic name of the tuning, thanks for the acknowledgement. Part D, still at it.

It's not complicated, haha. I think the solo will be a bit of a pain though.

Damn...I love this...but it's kind of confusing. Can Justin or someone decipher what I'm supposed to do here: ______ |---(0)----2 |-------------- |----0--------- The the underscores are supposed to be hammer-on/phrase mark thingys. I just don't know what to do with (myself great song - sorry offtrack) the (0)

Hey J, I have a little question for you. How do you slap the strings and play a string at the same time? Edit: The tabs seem to differ quite a lot from what is played in your demo version, Justin. That's fine though, because I'm really having fun with listening to it and trying to work out what you are really doing.

the demo and recording are different.
you'll have to wait for the video for the how to hit and play notes at the same time, too hard to explain with text! sorry.
@ mbarrett12 - the bracketed note is just a tied note (not played, still ringing from earlier in the tune), so hammer on the 2.
