Apples And Bananas
Apples and Bananas is all about encouraging your children to experiment with vowel sounds and make up nonsensical words which is pretty fun. You basically substitute the vowel sounds in the words "eat", "apples" and "bananas" to be -ay- -ee- -eye- -oh- -oo-.
So after the regular pronunciation you say it (I'm trying to write it phonetically):
ayte, ayte, ayte, ayples and bay-nay-nays
And then go for ee:
eet, eet, eet, eep-les and ba-nee-nees
And so on.. It's fun!
