The excellent vocal coach Chris Liepe is once again with us to teach us how to sing in tune when playing guitar!

Many of my students reach out because they're frustrated with their singing abilities. If you are one of them and think you'll never be able to stay in pitch when singing and playing and think you're tone-deaf, Chris has some awesome news:

Most likely, you don't have a pitch problem. You’ve got a memory problem- and we can fix that with simple exercises!

How to Start Singing in Pitch

Most beginners try to start singing by choosing a song they like or know how to play on guitar. That's not the best option if you need to work out your pitch awareness and learn to control your voice.

To develop your singing skills, we'll use three things:

Repetition
Rhythm
Rhyme

The exercises are simple - but they do require some discipline and patience! If you're trying to sing for the first time, be assured that you can improve your pitch control - but you'll have to work for it! :)
