The Telecaster master, Jim Campilongo, is here to share his guitar journey and what inspires him to play.

It's not too often I get around to listening to albums that people say I should check out, but I'm sure glad I did when a mate told me to check out Jim Campilongo. His album Orange quickly became a favorite, and it was the soundtrack (along with another great New York songstress Kelli Scarr) for my amp schematic tattoo!

Jim Campilongo is a New York roots rock guitarist with some serious credentials. I was pretty excited when I found out that he would be performing in New York City, so I reached out and asked if he'd be interested in interviewing with me. He said yes, and here we are. :)

🎸One of Jim's signature technique employs a hybrid right-hand technique using both a plectrum and fingers. It's seriously awesome!

In this video, we chat about all things guitar. Jim is a super nice guy and humble about his achievements, and he walks us through how he started playing music and what inspires him today. Some excellent advice for aspiring guitarists.

I'm seriously obsessed with the way he plays the guitar. His tone, his touch - he's got some serious talent. Campilongo has this fantastic ability to get the right note in the right place all the time, and it's something I finally get to dive into. Hope you dig it!
