Songs For Module 2

Now that you know how to play the A, D, and E chords, you can have fun with loads of easy 3-chord songs! Learning tunes you like is a great way to improve your guitar skills, so let's check out some recommendations to make the best out of your practice routine.

If you pop over to my Beginner Song Course App, you'll find a cool way of learning songs on guitar. The app offers many hits to choose from, and you can adjust the song's speed to suit your chord changes. It's super helpful when learning how to play guitar, and you'll have loads of fun playing along with backing tracks.

Here are some songs in the APP that I recommend you check out. The songs with the links also have lessons on the site - many with JustinGuitar TABS included. These lessons will give you more details on how to grow with a song!

  • Lay Down Sally - Eric Clapton

  • Stir It Up - Bob Marley

JustinGuitar Beginner Songbooks

You should check out the JustinGuitar Beginner Songbooks too! My paper songbooks are great when you're learning how to play. The chords come with full lyrics, which help out when playing along with the original record or singing and playing. :)

The songs with chords A, D, and E are in "Stage 1" and include:

The JustinGuitar Beginner Songbook Volume 1

The JustinGuitar Beginner Songbook Volume 2

Play Songs You Love!

It's super important to play the music that you love and that you find inspiring! It's a great way to stay motivated in your guitar playing, especially in these early stages.

Of course, you should explore new music too. You never know what you'll discover, and you might find an artist that you dig and want to get more info. :)

Here's a Spotify playlist of many of the songs you can play using the E, D, and A chords. For some of these, you might need to use a guitar capo - something we'll check out later on this course!
