How Serious Are You About The Guitar?

We are close to wrapping up Grade 4 of our Music Theory course. This last module is all about getting to know your fretboard better, and that's where the real fun begins. Learning the notes on your guitar fretboard is essential. No matter if you want to get serious about the instrument or want to mess around about it!

In the following lessons, we'll explore different approaches to learning the notes. You'll be working on some of those exercises for quite some time. Don't get hung on perfecting everything before you move on! Most importantly, you feel comfortable with everything you've learned.

We'll start this module digging deeper into Octaves Shapes and how to play them. Then, we'll use those grips to find notes all over the guitar fretboard! By the end of this Green grade, you should have a clear picture of the fingerboard in your memory. You'll also meet The Cycle of 5ths and learn how to apply it to your instrument.
