What We Can Learn

We have a general overview of barre chords then focus on the formation and playing of two main shapes, namely the E-shape major and the A-shape minor barre chords. We have tips and guidance on the mechanics and formation of barre chords and the physical challenges they present. Then we have a series of exercises using designed to improve strength and stamina before moving to exercises to help switching between the E-shape major and A-shape minor chords.

This session was aimed at mainly aimed at players who had started learning full 6-string barre chords and could access at least part of the play-along exercises. Much of the guidance is also suitable and beneficial for people who are just moving to begin learning to play their first barre chord.
